The new Tombow correction tapes make it easier than ever to correct mistakes or to restart completely. Due to Tombow’s coating technology, used in the “Easy Write" tape of all new Tombow correction tapes.
The ultrafine particle “Easy Write" correction tape fully and securely sticks to the paper. Based on Tombow’s own investigations, the reason that conventional correction films cut or peel when over-writing is due to the “float" phenomenon, i.e. there is a „float" or space between the paper and the correction film. This “float" causes conventional correction films to cut and peel when force is applied to the correction film surface by a pen or pencil.

The Tombow’s ultra fine particle “Easy Write" tape allows the film to adhere to uneven paper surfaces and textures and therefore makes for a smooth rewriting experience with no cutting or peeling.
Conventional correction films are destroyed to some degree when over-writing the film. This problem can affect a broader film area around the over-write line and the damaged film can peel. The ultra fine particles utilized in the “Easy Write" coating technology sup- press the tendency for the coating area around the over-write line to become damaged and consequently to peel.
In addition, if a fine line written on paper is given a value of “100", a line over-written on the “Easy Write" tape would have the value of “99.24". In simple terms, that means that there is practically no visual difference between a line written on paper and a line written on Tombow’s “Easy Write" correction tape. This conclusion is based on Tombow comparison tests of written lines on correction film using a 0.3mm gel ink ballpoint pen. In terms of performance, Tombow’s “Easy Write" film represents about a 30% improvement over our conventional product.
That users recognize and value the extraordinary adhesion to paper of the “Easy Write" correction tape is proven by a comparison test of Tombow. 71% of the participants rated the adhesion of our product as “very good" or “good" (com- pared to 45% for competitor product A and 44% for competitor product B).
Furthermore, the survey found out that many users (44 % of test participants) make two overlapping stripes when using correction tapes.
In this case, conventional correction tapes are often difficult to over-write as the layers do not stick well to each others. Here the advantage of Tombow’s “Easy Write" tape becomes even clearer, as the tape sticks not only perfectly to paper but of course also to underlying layers of tape.
Tombow is a truly vertically integrated correction tape manufacturer as we design and manufacture both the applicator as well as the correction film. Tombow’s “Easy Write" correction tape is manufactured at our factory in Japan.
The applicator plastic injection molding and assembly are done by Tombow Vietnam located in Ho Chi Minh City.
Our complete control by our own process production system ensures the quality feeling and superior performance balance between the correction film and the applicator mechanism.
